Compare Movers - Harrow is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. Information we collect

For moving requests, we collect the locations or postcodes, move date, property or load size, requested services, name, email and phone that you choose to submit. For partner-registration invitations, we collect the business name and business email needed to send the requested invitation. We also receive limited technical and security data such as IP address, request time, browser information and an idempotency identifier.

Why we use it and lawful basis

We use submitted details to provide an estimate or quote-comparison request, match the request with potentially suitable vetted moving partners, deliver a requested partner-registration invitation, send service communications, prevent abuse, keep records and respond to rights or support requests. We rely on your requested pre-contract service, legitimate interests in operating and securing the comparison service, legal obligations where applicable, and consent for the explicit sharing or invitation described beside the relevant form.

Who receives information

Relevant moving-request and contact details may be shared with vetted moving partners so they can decide whether to respond and contact you about a quote. We also use contracted technical providers to host the site, securely process requests, support postcode and estimate functions and send transactional service email. A partner invitation leads to a separate registration service whose identity, partner terms and privacy information are presented before an applicant submits the full registration. Professional advisers and public authorities may receive information where law requires it. We do not sell your details to unrelated third parties for their marketing or publish your move details.

Partner vetting and your checks

We review partner applications and relevant business, identity, insurance or supporting credential evidence before accepting a mover for use. This vetting helps us select partners, but it is not a guarantee that every credential remains current or that a mover is suitable for every job. You remain responsible for checking each responding mover's identity, current insurance, credentials, written scope, price, exclusions and terms. You decide which removal company to use.

Any booking or moving contract is made directly between you and the chosen mover. This website is not a party to that contract.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the enquiry, invitation, operational records, dispute handling, security and legal obligations.
